2.2 Automatically Collected Information
- Location Data: With your permission, we access your device's location to provide weather-based pet care recommendations and walk tracking features. Location data is processed on-device and via Apple WeatherKit or Open-Meteo API.
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, app version, and unique device identifiers for analytics purposes.
- Usage Data: App feature usage patterns, session duration, and interaction data to improve our services.
2.3 Camera and Photos
We request camera and photo library access solely for pet photo capture and profile management. Photos are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly choose to share them.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the App's core functionality, including pet profile management, health tracking, and care reminders.
- To deliver weather-based pet care recommendations using your location.
- To provide AI-powered features such as breed analysis and health advice.
- To process in-app purchases and manage subscription status.

4. Data Storage and Security
Your pet data, health records, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage mechanisms. We do not maintain external servers that store your personal pet data.
Subscription and purchase data is managed securely through Apple's App Store infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect any data transmitted through the App.

The App may use the following third-party services:
- Apple WeatherKit: For weather data to provide care recommendations. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Open-Meteo API: As a fallback weather data provider. Open-Meteo is an open-source weather API that does not collect personal data.
- Apple StoreKit: For in-app purchases and subscription management.
- Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements to non-premium users. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Children's Privacy
PetStar is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it.

You have the right to:
- Access, update, or delete your pet data at any time within the App.
- Revoke location, camera, or notification permissions through your device Settings.
- Reset all app data through the Settings menu within the App.

8. Data Retention
Your data is retained on your device as long as the App is installed. When you delete the App or reset app data through Settings, all locally stored data is permanently removed. Subscription records are maintained by Apple in accordance with their data retention policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
